Thursday June 5, Day 10/20

From Porterville on to the Giant Sequoias in the mountains Excellent ride on curvey roads up to 8000 ft and cool temperatures. The Giants are Giants as you can see, and we saw a bear up close, within 15 feet! The bear had no interest in us, only the meadow just beyond the walking path. General Sherman, as it is named is the largest tree in the world, 40 feet at the base.
From there it was back to the valley, Freshno, and 85 degree heat.
