On Sunday we continued traveing up the coast and through the Redwood forests. The Redwoods are spectacular. They grow in clusters or groves where conditins are just right for them. As the road enters a grove everything gets dark, it seems like a scene from a Harry Potter movie, I kept looking for a wizard to appear, but no such luck.

As this picture shows, the floor of the Redwood forest is dark, very dark. The 300 foot tall trees are right up to the road and provide great places for trolls or wizards to hide.
