Sunday June 15, Day 30/20

We spent the morning at Mount Rushmore and toured our way out via some of the local, curvy roads.

Nebraska was miles and miles (and miles) of rolling prarie where cattle outnumbered people 100 to 1 and many of the towns were mostly deserted. Beautiful place to visit....

On our way we saw more than 15 trains, each with more than 100 cars, all loaded with coal. The trains were about a mile long each.
As we approached Broken Bow Ne. the farming changed from cattle to corn (miles of it) and the houses and towns grew in size and prosperity.

We ended the day at Broken Bow with at total of 351 miles.

Been following your journey enthusiastically. Wish I was along for the ride :) Will look forward to hearing the details when you are back here. I had to laugh at the 1003 miles the first day -- you must have done that on purpose!
